Equipment

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup mushroom powder
  • 2 Tbsp sea salt
  • 2 Tbsp paprika
  • 2 Tbsp red miso powder
  • 2 Tbsp onion powder
  • 2 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 Tbsp oregano or Italian seasoning
  • 1 ½ tsp celery salt
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp turmeric

Instructions

To make the bouillon:

  • Add all ingredients to a small food processor or blender.
  • Pulse 10-15 times until everything is well-combined and the nutritional yeast is a nice powdery texture.

To Use / Store:

  • Use it as a 1:1 substitute for beef bouillon powder in all your favorite recipes!
  • Store the bouillon powder in an airtight container in your spice cabinet. Stored properly, it should last for 1-2 years, but it gets used up pretty quickly in this house!
  • To make vegan beef broth: Use 1 Tbsp bouillon for every cup of water you use for a full-flavored broth. For a lighter broth, use 1-2 tsp for every cup or water. Use this for any recipe calling for beef broth.
