Nothing shakes up a boring old soup or salad quite like homemade croutons, and these flavorful AF air-fried croutons do NOT disappoint! They take about 5 minutes to throw together and 15 to cook, giving you plenty of time to assemble the rest of your meal and maybe do a quick dance around the kitchen with a glass of wine. Welcome to crouton heaven, my friends!
6sliceswhole wheat breadsee notes for gluten free, cubed
2Tbspolive oilsee notes for oil free**
1tspgarlic powder
1tsponion powder
1/2tspground black pepper
1tspsea salt
Instructions
Add your cubed bread to a large bowl or container (I like to use something with a lid). Carefully drizzle on the olive oil and add the spices. Toss with your hands, or if you're using a container with a lid, put it on and shake, shake shake until all the bread cubes are evenly coated.
Add the bread cubes to your air fryer basket and fry at 300F for 10-15 minutes, stopping to shake the basket every 5 minutes. They're ready when they're crisp and slightly golden.
Serve on top of salads or soups, and enjoy! Once they cool, you can store leftovers in an airtight container in your pantry for up to a week.
Notes
*To make these croutons gluten-free, simply use gluten-free bread!**To make these croutons oil-free, omit the oil and lightly spray them with water before tossing in seasoning, so the seasoning will stick to the bread.
