Simple Air Fryer Pita Chips

Brittany Roche
Make your own pita chips in the air fryer with just 4 ingredients and 20 minutes of your time! They’re perfect for snacking or dipping in hummus. Not to mention, they’re 10x better than the store-bought kind!

Ingredients

  • 6 pita pockets
  • 1-2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Slice your pita pockets into triangles and add them to a large container with a lid (a ziplock bag will also work!). Drizzle the oil over the pitas and sprinkle in the pepper and salt. Cover and shake relatively gently until all the pitas are nice and coated.
  • Add these pita triangles to the air fryer basket and cook them for 10-15 minutes at 320 F, stopping to toss the basket gently every 3-5 minutes until you reach your desired crispness.
  • Let the pita chips cool about ten minutes before serving. They will crisp up a bit more as they cool, so keep that in mind! Serve them on a giant hummus platter or on their own for snacking! These chips are best served immediately, but leftovers can be stored in an air-tight container in the pantry for up to 3-5 days. Enjoy!
